Présence Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 30, 2026

Présence is a wellness diary for families tracking absence seizures, published by Bow at a Venture LLC. We built it so your information stays with you. This policy explains, in plain language, what happens to your data. It covers the iOS app; a future Android version will work the same way.

The short version

• Everything you log stays on your device.
• No accounts, no servers, and no cloud sync.
• No ads, no analytics, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs that collect data.
• The only thing the app sends out is a weather lookup when you log an episode.

Not a medical device

Présence is a wellness diary. It is not a medical device, and it does not diagnose or treat any condition. Please talk with your doctor about any health decisions.

What you store, and where

Your entries, including episodes, checklists, notes, and the profile (name, age, medications, photo, height, and weight), are stored only on your device. We never receive them. We don't run servers, offer accounts, or sync your data to any cloud of ours.

Weather lookup

When you log an episode, the app asks Apple WeatherKit for the current temperature at your device's approximate location. No personal data or diary content is sent. Your location is used only for that request and is not stored by us. Apple's WeatherKit privacy terms apply to that request.

Apple Health (optional)

Apple Health integration is off by default, and you control it. Data read from or written to Health stays on your device. Health data is never used for advertising or shared with third parties.

Siri and voice commands

When you use Siri or Shortcuts, your voice is processed by Apple under Apple's terms. Présence receives only the command.

Exports

PDF and CSV exports are created on your device and are shared only when you choose to share them using the share sheet. Exports contain health information, so share them with care.

Deleting your data

Deleting entries, or deleting the app, removes the data. We cannot recover it, because we never hold it.

Children

Présence is meant to be used by parents or caregivers on a child's behalf. Information about a child stays on the device. We collect no data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll post the update on this page with a new effective date.
